He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool; shun him

He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, is a child; teach him

He who knows not, and knows not that he knows, is asleep; wake him

He who knows, and knows that he knows, is wise; follow him

The Rain Dance Badge ☔️ - Hey Duggee Series 1 - Hey Duggee

Ok ok ... it has cooled down from 40 degrees yesterday but a few spits of rain is not sufficient! 💦😂

Let it rain! (Yep and then because I'm British I am entitled to complain about the rain and request more sun, converse extensively about the weather and how it affects this and that, blah blah 🤦‍♀️).

"From now on if you listen obediently to the commandments that I am commanding you today, love God, your God, and serve him with everything you have within you, he’ll take charge of sending the rain at the right time, both autumn and spring rains, so that you’ll be able to harvest your grain, your grapes, your olives. He’ll make sure there’s plenty of grass for your animals. You’ll have plenty to eat". (Deuteronomy 11v14)

I love the fact that ultimately I can rely on and trust God with everything, including the weather, but at the same time we have to fulfil our human responsibility to preserve and protect our planet, it is our duty and God given role 💜.

God of the Moon

I took this photo of the moon a couple of nights ago. It sent down moonbeams and was striking in its steadfast presence.

The moon is just the moon being the moon!… and I totally love it.

The sky was beset with a mottled cloud formation, not that the moon minded at all because of course the moon was just being the moon no matter how the clouds wished to behave.

The moon was created (Genesis 1v16) on the fourth day as the 'lesser' light to rule the night! God specifically created two great lights, one for the day and one for the night. Day and night had already been defined on day one so as to distinguish light and darkness, however the ruling lights of those divided contrasts, came later. Light and dark already existed but the sun and moon were created for a purpose, to rule those hours they had been given charge over. (Then of course He made the stars also!)

I have always found the moon to be a friendly reassuring presence. A stalwart, immovable, dependable, inoffensive ... a constant. It has a drawing presence, as though it has the capacity to sense the need for pause and reflection, for a momentary stillness. It enables and gives permission to even the busiest or most downcast person to stop, gaze and just wonder ... maybe allowing some rather more balanced perspective to be shed on the pressing concerns of daily life.

Have you seen a harvest moon? Or a blood moon? The faces of the moon are many yet the same. It can often be hidden from sight and the night densely dark, or fully out with those beauteous moonbeams shedding a silvery light. Somehow though, it remains as that constant resolute reminder of it's own creators faithfulness and dependability, quietly content to be what it was made to be.

It’s often hard to 'see' God, to know His presence or to experience the light we may need from Him to shine on our path ... yet He's there all the time. He's faithful and true, constant and always available. Our worlds can overshadow and cloud our own perceptions; our emotions create a fog; our anxieties blur the truth; our weaknesses give way to doubt, but He's still there.

Our God is bigger than the moon; Our God is stronger than any obstacle; Our God is always available.

When you're feeling lonely, look to the moon and be reassured that God in His wisdom put it there knowing that it would bring consistent and calm comfort to you. He sustains the moon and He will sustain you too.

When you’re faced with conflict and emotions run high, look to the moon and remain in control of your own feelings. You can choose to be inoffensive and resolute, not allowing someone else to have the power over you to make you feel or react a certain way. It may be hard but it is possible with the help of the moon creator.🌝

A quote

"I do not think there is anything from the beginning of our Christian life to the end, that is so keenly attacked as our quiet with God, for it is in quietness that we are fed.”
